Nottefix

Notteproof PB2K

Description

NOTTEPROOF PB2K is a two-component, bitumen polyurethane-based, plant root-resistant, liquid waterproofing material. It adheres strongly to the applied surface and forms an elastic film. It is suitable for vertical and horizontal application.

Usage Areas

  • Floors
  • Under-coating areas
  • Foundations and curtains
  • Gypsum and cement panels
  • Under cladding on terraces, roofs, and balconies

Characteristics

  • The product can be applied using a brush, roller, or suitable spraying machines.
  • It has plant root strength and can be used in green roof applications.
  • When applied, it forms a seamless and leak-proof insulation layer.
  • It has an elastomeric, hydrophobic structure.
  • It effectively allows water vapor to pass through, preventing moisture accumulation.
  • Damaged parts can be easily repaired in a short time.
  • It provides effective resistance to chemicals.
  • It is ideal for vertical applications and does not leak or sag.

Application Method

  • Before application, surfaces should be free from substances that may weaken adherence, such as wetness, grease, paraffin wastes, cement syrup, loose particles, mold release agents, and cured old membranes.
  • If possible, surfaces should be washed with high-pressure water, cleaned, and dried.
  • Surface defects should be repaired with appropriate products.
  • For absorbent surfaces like concrete, cement, and screed, NOTTEPROOF P140 should be used, ensuring a maximum humidity of 4%.
  • For damp or non-absorbent surfaces, NOTTEPOX P355 should be used.
  • Each product should be opened individually and mixed with a low-speed mixer for 2–3 minutes.
  • The A and B components are then combined and mixed with a low-speed mixer for a minimum of 3–4 minutes.
  • The product should be poured onto the primed surface and applied in a minimum of two coats using a roller, brush, or trowel until the entire surface is covered.
  • After the first coat is applied, the second coat should be applied within a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 24 hours.
  • Packages should be used entirely upon opening and within the specified periods.
  • After application, the surface should be protected from water, rain, dew, frost, and snow until it is completely dry.
  • Once the product is fully dried, it should be covered.

Consumption

1.50 – 2.00 kg/m² (for 2 layers of application)

Packaging and Storage

  • 30 kg Tins (set):
    • Component A: 15 kg
    • Component B: 15 kg
  • Shelf life when stored in its original packaging at +10°C / +30°C in dry, protected, and ventilated environments, protected from sun, rain, and frost, is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Safety Precautions

  • During application and mixing, contact of the material with the skin and eyes should be prevented, and in case of contact, it should be washed with plenty of water.
  • In case of contact with eyes, they should be washed immediately with plenty of water, and medical assistance should be obtained.
  • Gloves, protective clothing, mask, or goggles should be used during use.
