Nottefix

Nottefix 1015

Description

Rapid-setting, flexible tile adhesive for fixing ceramic, porcelain, glass, natural stone, and more. Ideal for quick restoration and repair projects, providing improved adhesion and non-slip application.

Usage Areas

  • Suitable for use in internal and external, vertical and horizontal fixing applications.
  • Ideal for tiling in wet areas, terraces, and wide areas.

Characteristics

  • Material content: High-quality cement, additives providing rapid set feature and flexibility and improved adhesion.
  • Type: Powder
  • Color: Grey/white
  • Density: 1.3 gr/cm³

Application Method

  • Clean and prepare the substrate to ensure proper adhesive bonding.
  • Remove any dust, dirt, grease, or other contaminants from the surfaces.
  • Scabbling is necessary to eliminate hardened or polished surfaces and laitance.
  • Ensure the substrate is mature, sound, stable, and smooth, with appropriate moisture content.
  • Prime high porosity substrates, such as gypsum plasters.
  • If surfaces are exposed to direct sunlight and have a temperature above +25°C, cool them by damping.
  • Gradually add 4.8–5.6 liters (24–26%) of clean water to 20 kg of powder and mix until smooth.
  • Use a low-cycled electrical drill mixer for mixing.
  • The paste should have a non-flowing consistency when handled with a trowel.
  • Allow the paste to rest for 3 minutes before application, then remix before use.
  • Apply adhesive with a notched trowel, including tile back for larger sizes.
  • Press tiles firmly with twisting and sliding action for good contact.
  • Gently hammer tiles with a rubber hammer for stability and full coverage.
  • Remove excess adhesive before it hardens.
  • Test for stains on light-colored tiles; use white adhesive if needed.
  • Fill joints at least 6 hours after adhesive application.
  • Adhesive should be used within the temperature range of +5°C to +25°C.
  • Ensure the application surface temperature is above +5°C and free from freezing risks.
  • Avoid applying the adhesive on hot surfaces or during sunny and windy weather conditions.

Consumption

The approximate coverage amount (kg/m²) may vary depending on the application surface, tile size, and the type of trowel.

  • U6 (6x6x6 mm): 3–4 kg
  • U9 (9x9x9 mm): 4–5 kg

Packaging and Storage

  • 20 kg craft bag.
  • Shelf life when stored in its original packaging at +10°C / +30°C in dry, protected, and ventilated environments, protected from sun, rain, and frost, is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Safety Precautions

To ensure safety during use:

  • Avoid skin and eye contact with the product.
  • In case of contact, wash with plenty of water.
  • If swallowed, drink water and seek medical advice.
  • If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical assistance.
  • Wear gloves and protective goggles when handling the product.
