Notteproof B2K

Description

NOTTEPROOF B2K is a waterproofing coating based on cement and polymer-modified bitumen rubber, water-based, two-component, cold-applied, used on surfaces with undesirable UV resistance.

Usage Areas

Under cladding on terraces, roofs, and balconies.
In the insulation of foundations and curtains.
On solid surfaces based on gross concrete, screed, plaster, and cement.
It is used in the repair of old bituminous membranes.

Application Method

The surface to be applied should be dry and clean. It should be free from anti-stick substances such as dust, oil, paint, and curing agents.
Mortar residues and loose floors have to be cleaned. Cracks and broken areas must be repaired, and the surface leveled.
The corners and edges should be chamfered with a minimum radius of 4 cm.

For priming, 1 kg NOTTEPROOF B2K can also be applied as a primer to the surface by mixing with 400–600 rpm mixer with 4 lt water.
After the primer is dried, the application is started.

NOTTEPROOF B2K has two components.
Mix the powder with the liquid and stir for 3–4 minutes until homogeneous.
Let the mixture rest for 3–5 minutes, then stir for 30 seconds before applying.
Maintain the balanced measurements of powder and liquid.
Use the mixed material within 1 hour.

Apply NOTTEPROOF B2K after the primer dries.
Use a brush for 1–2 coats.
Apply the second coat after the first coat dries.
Use 3 coats with mesh at corners and high-pressure areas.

Protect surfaces from UV and sharp objects when applying NOTTEPROOF B2K.
For terrace application, use reverse roof detail with a minimum 12 cm thick solid slab and 2% slope.

Consumption

Against unpressurized water: 3.0 kg/m² (2 mm of thickness)
Against pressurized water: 4.5 kg/m² (3 mm thickness – mesh application)
Protect the foundation pit with drainage and thermal insulation plates before filling with NOTTEPROOF B2K.
Strip multi-porous or perforated surfaces before application to prevent air bubbles.
In hot weather, add water (not exceeding 3% of the material amount) to prevent rapid water loss.
Protect the exterior surface from wind and frost for 48 hours and avoid water contact for 2 days.
Use water inflatable or PVC retaining tapes for cold joint insulation.
Do not apply NOTTEPROOF B2K on metal surfaces.

Packaging and Storage

In its original packaging, stored in ventilated, dry, and protected environments at +5°C/+25°C, protected from sun, rain, and frost, its shelf life is 1 year from the date of manufacture.

Safety Precautions

Gloves, protective clothing, and masks/goggles should be used during mixing and application.
Contact of the product with eyes, mouth, and skin should be prevented.
In case of contact with skin, it should be washed with plenty of water.
In case of contact with eyes and swallowing, a doctor should be consulted.
